QUINCY, IL — A U.S. Postal Carrier is recovering after getting battered while on the job.
Police believe she was hit in the neck and head while delivering mail on Monday.
The mail carrier was hurt in the 900 block of North 14th St. in Quincy at 3:15 p.m. Monday.
Now police are still investigating to try to find the people responsible.
KHQA reached out to the United States Postal Service office regarding the incident, but we have not yet heard back.
Elbus said the victim was struck in the neck and head with a book bag.
The investigation is ongoing.
