8/14/2020 Washington, DC – The United States Postal Service (USPS) Inspector General has agreed to investigate all recent staffing and policy changes put in place under former Trump megadonor and current Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, and to review DeJoy’s conflicts of interest. The investigation was requested last week by United States Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Chair of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney (D-N.Y.), Ranking Member of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Senator Gary Peters (D-Mich.), Ranking Member of the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations Senator Tom Carper (D-Del.), Senators Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) and Tina Smith (D-Minn.), and Members of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform Representatives Gerald E. Connolly (D-Va.), Stephen F. Lynch (D-Mass.), and Brenda Lawrence (D-Mich.)
We just heard that @OIGUSPS is investigating all aspects of our request to audit the Postmaster General’s operational changes at @USPS & his personal conflicts of interest. I’ll keep using every in the toolbox to stop Trump & DeJoy from sabotaging the USPS.https://t.co/6KburT1ts0

CNN: Postal service inspector general reviewing DeJoy’s policy changes and potential ethics conflicts
Last week, Warren, a Massachusetts Democrat, and eight other Democratic lawmakers asked the inspector general to launch an inquiry into DeJoy on a number of fronts, including the nationwide policy changes he’s made since taking over in June, as well as whether DeJoy has “met all ethics requirements.”
…
CNN first reported earlier this week that DeJoy still owns at least a $30 million equity stake in his former company — a USPS contractor — and that he recently bought stock options for Amazon, a USPS competitor. These holdings likely create a major conflict of interest, ethics experts told CNN, though DeJoy and USPS maintain that he has complied with all federal requirements.

News of the watchdog review comes one day after Trump brazenly admitted that he opposes much-needed USPS funding because he doesn’t want to see it used for mail-in voting this November. The pandemic has led to record-breaking levels of voting-by-mail, but Trump has tried to restrict the method because he claims it is rife with fraud and abuse, claims that CNN has fact-checked multiple times and are largely without merit.
MR. Rico where is the fraud in mail in ballots? If your pal Das Fat Fuhrer says it you think it’s true! And if there is fraud in mail in ballots why does the fat Fuhrer vote by mail? Won’t someone change his vote? A journalism professor at York University, Toronto,On., said his research has shown your pal has lied over 17,000 times. If your idiot leader loses the election, what makes his supporters think the election was stolen? Did you ever think it’s possible not everyone in America is a Nazi. That it is possible we want a human in charge.
From the Democrats favorite news source;
“More Than 550,000 Primary Absentee Ballots Rejected In 2020, Far Outpacing 2016”

Do you really think CNN’s fact checking is truthful and accurate? How can you state that President Trump’s claims are “largely without merit” when there is fraud out there with mail in ballots? And they’re are not isolated incidents.
Well since you’re on the band wagon against everything common sense, righteous, and just…Who will you want to defund? the postal inspectors and postal police?
People are so afraid of change.
Look in the mirror.
Actually we do not,even know how many of the 50 U.S.A. states,will permit large-scale voting by mail for this November’s election? Texas state government,will very likely never agree,to it;even during Covid-19. Even on a temporary basis. Then again New York,or Pennsylvania,are hardly amongst;the most voters friendly states. Whatever,a shift voting by mail,would be a great boon to USPS. As there are endless elections,at all level of our nation’s governments. On the other hand,there is also,a long history of paper ballots;being”partisantly” tempered with.
Another investigation. Good grief, an FBI lawyer just pleaded guilty for his part in the Russia Collusion case. There are books out there naming the laws Hillary Clinton broke and she is walking free. As a retired postal worker what I am concerned about is the socialist democrats imposing the Green New Deal on America. Maybe they will promise the Postal Service to be exempt from these draconian regulations if they help steal the election with mail-in votes. This is not the democrat party of old. These are Bernie Sanders Marxists
