Terrill Chatman, a former University of Alabama football player, pleaded guilty Thursday to one count of misappropriation of postal funds.
Chatman, 48, was a postal employee when he stole two gift cards in the mail during September and October of 2015, according to a joint statement by U.S. Attorney Joyce White Vance and Special Agent in Charge Maximo Eamiguel, Southern Area Field Office, United States Postal Service, Office of Inspector General.
An indictment stated Chatman stole a $50 Publix gift card from mail in Birmingham and the later stole a $10 Walmart gift card. Read more
