From National League of Postmasters:
The VER for Postmasters, supervisors, and field EAS will be completed in just about two weeks. Approximately 2000 of these managers took advantage of this golden opportunity to leave the Postal Service early enough to build a new life with a pension to back up their dreams and plans. They’ve left a big hole and it will take some time to fill it. The sooner we get to filling supervisor and Postmaster Positions, the better. There is a strong rumor out there that there will be another VER coming soon. At this point it is just that, a rumor, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Postal Service, in an effort to continue downsizing in response to reduced volumes, announces another VER. In a related area, the Postal Service has indicated that it would like to fill vacancies within 60 days of their announcement. This is a positive step; the trick will be to get the jobs announced in a timely manner! All the more important for Postmaster, PMRs and supervisors looking to promotion to have their profiles up and ready to go once the announcements for the jobs they have been eyeing come open.

We postmasta need to wurk hardar! People in US ar lazi you know, and cry in cereal. Shut up shut up postmasta, hang up phone, turn computer game off and get to work dam it!!
Take all the mystery shoppers and have them do something in the sales department and try to get new customers from UPS and FEDEX instead of requesting the carriers to do customer connect while trying to deliver the route daily and drum up new customers. Lets get a return on our investment in regards to the money that we spend yearly on Mystery shops, and put it toward getting new customers instead of trying to squeeze the ones we have now for more.
All the mystery shopppers do is waste everyone elses time.
we really do need more supervisors. Ideally, one supervisor for each craft employee. also, one OIG agent per employee would be ideal. then we could them honest and productive.
THEY ARE CALLED MYSTERY SHOPPERS. THEY DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THESE LOSER/MANAGEMENT PEOPLE SO THEY BECOME MYSTERY SHOPPERS. SPYING ON THE CLERKS AND SAYING CLERKS ARE THE PROBLEM WHEN THEY ARE THE REAL PROBLEM TO MANY OF THEM.
Yeah, what a hole left by them. Tough to replace too. hahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahha
Give me a break..a void!!!..if another 2000 left then maybe, just maybe, we would be getting close to the complement of the real world..and oh boy is right about the made up teams..we have them come into BMEU units and you hear them asking each other about different procedures that they have no clue about!!!..and you can certainly see that Confused is a PM/Manger/Supervisor..Confused is a perfect name for him..
Bitch and moan! That’s all we ever read in these blogs. If the Post Office mistreats you and you are unhappy with your job, then quit. STOP the BITCHING!! Ten qualified candidates at a minimum who have just lost their job would be more than willing to take yours. Instead of complaining constantly try and be a part of the solution. Yes, your response may go on the bottom of the in box but maybe one may be looked at and you may in fact change something.
Let see you gripe about hours work/paid, give a big kiss to the ass of the PMG and say that 2,000 managers to the last VERA and their is a void.
You live in a dream world Mr. Mapa. Their are at least 100 supervisors/managers who have no job in every district in america. They are on “so called teams” to come into our offices and they are all unhappy doing it. Everyone knows these people have no real job (pissed someone off) and that is why they are on these teams. Then the good o boy network puts someone in the position they want and all is good. Get rid of about 10,000 more managers and we will all start to FEEL how much the mail has dropped. PULL YOUR HEAD OUT.
