CAPE CORAL -Some residents visiting a Cape Coral post office became concerned after the main doors to the building were blocked off. One man believes it’s illegal and he says he’s doing his homework.

The bright yellow chains and big sign “Use the other door” are forcing customers to make a quick U-turn at Cape Coral’s main post office.

“They can’t get into the front door… it’s stupid,” says Bruce Bezdek who’s making sure the post office isn’t violating code. “You don’t block off the handicap entrance for that… it just doesn’t make any sense to me.”

Postal workers explain the entrance is roped off because of moisture.

They said when the automatic doors open the humidity and air conditions are mixing causing condensation on the floor.
