March 3, 2015 – Deborah Godbey, 59, a rural carrier in Ada, OK, died in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
About 8:55 a.m., Godbey was driving south on a county road near Stonewall in Pontotoc County when she failed to yield at a stop sign at the State Highway 3 intersection, troopers said. She collided with another vehicle, driven by Brian Flatt, 34, of Stonewall, who was driving west on SH 3.
Godbey was ejected from the vehicle, troopers said. She died at the scene.
Flatt was treated and released at the scene.
Driving from the wrong side of her car and with no seatbelt on, obviously, the way RCAs are taught to do.
