Update: A U.S. Postal worker is hospitalized Thursday after he lost control of his vehicle in Prince George’s County.
The postal worker lost control of his truck along Route 450 near High Bridge Road in Bowie, Maryland, around 3 p.m. Thursday. The truck overturned and the worker was ejected.
Firefighters said the victim, a 25 to 30-year-old postal employee, was thrown from the truck and rushed to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Medics said the man was in critical condition.
There was no immediate word on what led to the crash or where the mail carrier was heading at the time. A Postal Service spokesperson said the mail that spilled from the truck was being collected at the scene and would still be delivered. Read more
WASHINGTON (WNEW) — A postal truck driver is critically injured after the truck overturned and he was ejected, officials say.
Prince George’s County Fire Department spokesman Mark Brady tweets the man is between 25- and 30-years-old and was taken to the hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries.
