I retired as an MDO at a major NDC after 37 years with the USPS. $28 is not even close to what it would take to get me to trade in retirement; not even for two months. Go back to constant whining little babies who cry because they are expected to come to work every day, be on time, make four regular clock rings, report back from breaks and lunch on time, and actually do a little work while they are there without complaining about why they have to work. And that’s just the craft level. The Sr. MDO was a white hating, man hating idiot who didn’t know how to pour piss out of a boot. The only reason she was promoted was the P&DC wanted to get her out of their hair. The Plant Manager, a fat useless drunk, has been replaced by another idiot. This guy, as the Manager of In-Plant Support and during an internet outage told the Plant Manager he emailed IT to find out what the problem was. Duh. Yeah, I really want to go back to that horror show.
They want to pay retired carriers $16.00 an hour and pay retired management $28.00 an hour to do nothing? I am glad I tossed that letter after reading this!
just another way to lose $BILLONS more………these clowns are mental. NY Times today……Federal Gum-mint now $19.5 TRILLION in debt…………..just wait till that bubble bursts. everybody get your wheelbarrows ready lol. Weimar Republic…..here we come!
Not all supervisors are alike, just like all clerks, mailhandlers, and other craft employees are not the same. Some of the craft and supervisors are lazy, but I think it is a good idea to hire some of them back. It will only be for the holiday peak season, what is wrong with that. At least they know how the job is to be done. Stop being so negative about things and thank the Lord that you have a job.
stupid is as stupid does.
most will go back and work with family members they hired/promoted.
What a slap in the face to HCA’s/CCA’s. Hire worthless managers who did no more than sit on their fat behinds their whole career for $28.00 per hour and pay the HCA’s/CCA’s who actually worked their whole career
$16.00 per hour. The Unions should refuse to allow them to be hired anymore unless their pay is raised to a comparable rate to the useless retired supervisors they are hiring.
Rehiring incompetence. How incompetent.
THEY DIDNT DO ANY WORK THE 1ST TIME AROUND!…LMFAO!
Hiring managers for the peak season? Seems to make more sense to hire people to deliver all this extra mail during peak season!!
Why pay retired managers to come back for $28 an hour, when you can use the Holiday PSE/CCAs for $16.00 an hour, and make them 204Bs?? As it is, retired managers are able to apply for the PSE/CCA positions, why aren’t former craft workers able to apply for these higher paid temp manager jobs?
We can be ridiculously short handed in craft, but you can never have enough management. Why is that? Are so many so lazy they have to have 204-B’s out the wazoo to do their work for them? My office is supposedly fully staffed as far as supervision goes, the PM, city carrier supervision although that is an OIC right now as the regular is on duty somewhere else to fill in, a rural supervisor and clerk. But there are usually a couple 204-Bs hanging around and leaving the crafts short. No problem – just violate the contract and make people work overtime. Our office usually does pretty good about following proper rotation, but I know of many that just fly by the seat of their pants and because some union officers are lazy, buddies with them or just plain inept, management can bring in anybody whenever, regardless of whose turn it is, and now they want Christmas supervisors? What will they do? Stand by the parcel tubs with referee whistles making damn sure carriers get those ever so precious amazon.com packages out? Harass the shit out of us, or should I say those who allow themselves to be bullied, to run, run, run and make the truck even while carrying swings?
$28.00 an hour to watch and babysit and watch the babys who are craft employees? sign me up for the easy money,no paperwork! yeah!
They need to pay them twice what the craft holiday people get paid. WOW. And once again they can sit around and drink coffee and bullshit about how lazy the craft workers are. Why don’t you give them PFP also, and a lunch allowance. It would be nice to see current managers actually WORK before you hire more. With all the automation, why are there still more bosses, unbelievable
I doubt there will be a lack of applicants….it will more than double what these clowns are making as Wal-Mart greeters….because no one in the private sector would even consider paying these incompetent clowns half of what they were pulling in at the Postal Service
They will be able to order people around and act important as they did in the past. Just to make workers miserable, the temp. stupidvisors will take their prick pills. If a carrier misses a scan, out comes the PDI!
Looks like they need some one with correct training?.
Lol, just what we need..more chiefs!!!
They aren’t going to work the mail and why would they bring back the ones who were promoted because they weren’t worth a crap on the floor???
Makes sense USPS!
hahahahahaha
