A Tacoma woman who was the victim of a predatory mailman has filed suit against the United States Postal Service and several of its managers.
According to the lawsuit, USPS received complaints from at least a dozen women about letter carrier Robert J. Taitano.
In the suit says, in spite of complaints that Taitano grabbed women, entered homes and made sexual comment USPS kept him on a mail route.
The suit was filed by Meosha Turner, who said that she found Taitano inside her home in August 2014. He entered through her front door while Turner was in the bathroom. When questioned by Turner about why he was in the house, Taitano didn’t have an answer.
“At that point I was so much in shock I couldn’t get out words. I couldn’t do it,” Turner told KING 5. “I started yelling and screaming and telling him to get out.”
She said he didn’t move, until she reached for a nearby knife.
Turner called Tacoma police. When a detective investigated, he uncovered USPS complaint files dating back to 2002 in which a salon owner, a store clerk and two apartment managers accused Taitano of harassing and touching them.

In olden days a glimpse of stocking was considered shocking but now heaven knows, anything goes.
I had no idea things would get this bad, I have no idea how bad they will get. The things I’ve seen excused from both craft and management were unimaginable 30 years ago when I started.
Everyone skates on this one, even if the PO has to lay a settlement. This is The Brave New World we live in. No one is accountable for anything ever.

the problem is that the workers watch the po mismanagers hit on women in the plants and at the AO’s and think it is open season on the street……….they want a taste of honey too, I am even now starting to see lesbo stupidvisors at the plant hitting on women workers……..now that is really creepy! to say that this place is hyper-dysfunctional would be an understatement! she offered his honor, he honored her offer, and all night long he was on her and off her…….typical po mismgt!
We had a supervisor that was transferred to our office, due to his harassing of females. Once in our office, he did the same, so they “promoted” him to a small postmaster job. A year into this job, a customer opened his mail box and got a bird eye view of him doing the three point stance on his female rural carrier. It took a whole year before he was disciplined….all they did was transfer him to another district, where I am sure he is keeping his tallywhacker active.

Okay, here’s two levels of sickness – the carrier/pervert and management who ignored the customer’s complaints and concerns. The USPS management deserves to be sued vigorously for letting this sex freak run loose. There is no excuse for allowing this to happen. Why this creep isn’t in prison is a mystery.
Is management so lazy and inept that they preferred keeping this guy on the route because they didn’t want to be bothered? The NALC would not have had much of an argument with this one. As a branch president and steward for 17 years of my own office, I guarantee you that had somebody done this under my watch there would have been no grievance.
NALC is at it’s best when defending their carrier perverts! He’ll walk with a letter of warning if anything at all.

The zero tolerance only applies to craft workers who look cross eyed at their supervisor, then it is a crime.
Unbelievable only the usps would interview,hire and support a creature a sicko a predator a humanoid capable of this behavior.
That just shows that postal HR personnel have no clue how to properly hire people. Of course, these are the people who improperly promote people into management, also.
Half of hiring is done through nepotism. Just look at the Chicago Post office and the numerous congressional complaints and investigations. Probably half the personnel at Harrison and Canal are blood relatives.
