One woman thought her neighbor was a friendly person who loved to ride her bike. Instead, she was scamming the entire neighborhood.
“I was becoming suspicious that my mail, something was going on with my mailbox,” said Faye Guenther. “And I couldn’t figure out what it was.”
Faye Guenther’s instincts were right.
“She was a nice lady,” Guenther said. “She was on her bicycle… she seemed so nice.”
But her Seattle neighbor, Kimberly Ann Rockwell, was actually stealing Faye’s mail and opening additional credit card accounts.
“She had obtained enough information online to be able to impersonate them and know what their date of birth was, mother’s name, say that her card was lost or stolen and request a new card,” said US Postal Inspector Ana Weller. Read more
This lady is a real asset in her local area. She took the time to find out the truth, and
acted on it. When someone is trying to fix a problem. Like the saying says ” your either part of the solution, or part of the problem”. Some times its the public, and
sometimes it is USPS. USPS is always in the middle no matter, because if the service
doesn’t work. Everyone can choose something different.
