The Postal Service remains in recovery phase, following impacts from Hurricane Matthew. While most offices have reopened and normal service has resumed, a few offices and operations remain impacted. Please continue to check back for updates.
South Carolina
With the exception of one office, normal delivery and retail operations have resumed in the South Carolina ZIP Code three-digit areas of 294, 295 and 299.
- Nichols Post Office 29581 – Customers may pick up mail beginning Oct. 12 at the Loris Post Office, located at 3085 Broad St., Loris, SC 29569.
North Carolina
The following offices are closed, with delivery and retail operations redirected to an alternate site:
- Fair Bluff Post Office, 28439 ― Alternate site: Tabor City Post Office, 200 E 5th St., Tabor City, 28463. A mobile unit has been set up at 86 Conway Rd., Fair Bluff, 28439.
- Ivanhoe Post Office, 28447 ― Alternate site: Willard Post Office, 130 Willard Railroad St, Willard, 28478. A mobile unit has been set at 4146 Ivanhoe Rd, Ivanhoe, NC
- Seven Springs Post Office, 28578 ― Alternate site:LaGrange Post Office, 209 S Caswell St., LaGrange, 28551. A mobile unit has been set at 5404 Hwy 55E, Seven Springs, NC 28578

Florida and South Georgia
With the exception of the following offices, delivery and retail operations in Florida and South Georgia have resumed. Please check back for updates.
- Tybee Island Post Office, 31328 – Operations have temporarily been relocated to Savannah’s Wilmington Island Station Post Office, located at 463 Johnny Mercer Blvd. Suite B2, Savannah, GA 31410. Hours of operation are Mon-Fri., 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and closed Sunday.
- Daytona Beach Peninsula Station, 32118 – Operations have temporarily been relocated to Downtown Daytona Station, 220 N Beach St., Daytona Beach, FL, 32114-3302 – Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 12 noon; Sunday closed.
- Elkton Post Office, 32033 – Operations have temporarily been relocated to Hastings Post Office, located at 200 Cochran Ave., Hastings, FL 32145. Hours of operation are Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and closed Sunday.
