ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (NEWSPLEX) — Residents in neighborhoods throughout Albemarle County and Charlottesville have reached out to complain about not getting their mail for days. Barbara Poston lives at Village at Highlands on Gate Post Lane, near Crozet. She says this issue has been going on for a while.
“But then, it started getting later and later and later, like nine or ten o’clock, and then it just stopped all together,” said Poston.
She says she marched down to the post office to speak to the supervisor.
“He said he was aware of the problem, and they’re trying to deal with it,” said Poston. “I said, well in the meantime let me take my mail, he said it’s on the truck.”
Frustrated and confused, Poston along with her neighbors just want to know what they need to do in order to get their mail.
A statement, from the U.S. Postal Service Communications Office said, “We take these issues seriously and remains fully committed to identifying and reviewing all processes in our operations to ensure mail is moving expeditiously.”
