  1. go back to ptf hiring like things were b4 they changed to TE then CCA. these were career positions that were taken seriously. You were hired, excited to be hired and knew you now had a respected livable wage career for the rest of your life. All problems solved.

    • Hire nothing but career and theft will disappear, right? Sounds like you’re a union official looking to increase its coffers via the union dues of the young & ignorant!

  2. Trump is going to end it all for Civil Service. First on the list is USPS and all those complaining losers.

  3. What do you expect, stagnant wages and benefit costs rising fast, and no locality pay which is really needed. You pay new employees a minimum wage with no benefits and they know they can do better anywhere, so why not steal, the usps lets them go unpunished because they don’t want the public to lose faith in the post office. Just watch as us old timers start to retire , and you get more and more of these careless employees. Maggie is thrilled because they work cheap

  4. how many of these thefts are commited by long term career employees? My guess would be that many of these thefts are committed by the new “non-career” low wage CCA employees. The newer employees have fewer (almost none) benefits and make just more than half of wht a 13 year employee makes. They are also treated like indetured servants. Dealing with unattainable goals set upon them by a supervisor class wh ocould not accomplish 1/3 of the goals they set if they attempted to do the work they are asking of these new, inexperienced employees.

  5. What a very sad situation. Maybe they should ship them like the old days when checks were sent. Separated from regular mail, accounted for, counted or coming through a system similar, but not quite, to registered mail. Or.. like “hot pubs”, these get expedited preferential treatment. Assign only certain clerks or craft to accommodate the transfer through the facility they are in, not just anyone. If the USPS cannot find a way to better accommodate these ailing vets to insure the medicines they need arrive, then they to have failed our vets.
