Parsons Wins Nationwide Multiyear $252 million Contract With USPS

PASADENA, CA (June 25, 2013) – Parsons announced that it was recently awarded a program management services contract by the United States Postal Service (USPS). This multiple-award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract has a contract ceiling of $252 million and a period of performance of 6 years (2-year base period plus 4 option years).

Parsons will provide program management services to support requirements and programs related to USPS’s nationwide portfolio of facilities. The USPS portfolio includes more than 32,755 facilities, including process and distribution centers, logistics and distribution centers, international services centers, network distribution centers, information technology/accounting services centers, carrier annexes, and main post offices. In addition, Parsons may support projects/programs to improve and/or maintain these facilities, as well as specialty projects such as accessibility compliance, security upgrades, and retail program support.

Since 2003, Parsons has provided continuous design, construction management, construction, and project/program management support to the USPS. The firm has performed services at more than 23,000 facilities in all 50 states and several U.S. territories. Parsons’ project/program management has resulted in $10.2 million in documented savings for the USPS since record keeping began in 2009.

  1. WE have to pay someone for design and construction management? What would we be building when we are getting rid of employees , and selling buildings?
    Goes to show it’s spend spend spend as always.

  2. What an outfit as usual. Pay someone else and give our higher ups bonuses for what another agency is being paid handsomely to do. Lets see there CORRECT figures if they can produce them with out fudging. This wont be looked into either like usual.

  3. WTF! Parsons project saved the USPS 10.2 mill in 4 years and we are going to pay them 252 mill to do it for the next 6 years? What exactly did they do?
