On-the-go customers can now pick up or ship packages 24 hours, 7 days a week

SAN FRANCISCO — goPost®  is the newest in shipping innovation – an electronic parcel locker that enables customers to drop off and pick up packages around the clock at a single location, and in San Francisco it is at the Pine Street Station, 1400 Pine St., San Francisco, CA 94109.

On Friday, July 20, 2018, at 8:00 AM, San Francisco Postmaster Abraham Cooper will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to introduce the public to the newest in shipping convenience.

gopost provides a more convenient way for people to interact with the Postal Service,” said Cooper. “It is all about accessibility, and gopost units are designed for people with on-the-go lifestyles who want convenient accessibility. gopost is a great way to use technology to create a better customer experience for the sender and the receiver.”

goPost® parcel lockers are available at the Pine St. Post Office 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and on Saturday 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

goPost® units are automated, secured self-service parcel lockers where customers can pick up or ship packages at their convenience at no additional cost. Each gopost unit contains dozens of individual lockers that can be used to receive or ship packages.

Customers must register on https://gopost.usps.com/go.  Once a customer has registered, an account number and access card and PIN will be provided so the customer can access the unit.  Customers will not be assigned a specific locker; rather, packages are placed in available lockers that may accommodate the size of the package.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
