President Donald Trump is doubling down on his claims that Amazon is abusing its relationship with the US Postal Service. “The Amazon Washington Post has gone crazy against me ever since they lost the Internet Tax Case in the U.S. Supreme Court two months ago,” Trump tweeted on Monday. “Next up is the U.S. Post Office which they use, at a fraction of real cost, as their ‘delivery boy’ for a BIG percentage of their packages.” The tweet is part of a months-long battle that Trump has waged against Amazon, focusing on the e-commerce giant’s use of the USPS for deliveries. In April, Trump ordered the formation of a task force to investigate the USPS and its “unsustainable financial path.”
“Only fools, or worse, are saying that our money losing Post Office makes money with Amazon,” Trump tweeted earlier in April. “THEY LOSE A FORTUNE, and this will be changed. Also, our fully tax paying retailers are closing stores all over the country … not a level playing field!”
And when later asked about the issue by reporters, Trump said, “Amazon has the money to pay the fair rate at the post office, which would be much more than they’re paying right now.”

If this was a legitimate argument and Amazon was getting a deal so great it would upset our president, then I would say “Stop the madness” and lets take a look at what is really going on. But we already understand this is personal, way to personal. The argument began much sooner than the tax hike. Word to the rich and powerful….kiss his butt and make it public.

I saw the report on “fake ” news that President Wizard is going to BAILOUT his farmers. He is going to give 12 billion to his farmer voters. At the same time he is against any bailout to the Postal Service. It is interesting to notice he wants to create jobs in factories, farms and coal mines while at the same time he wants to destroy the Postal Service jobs! If your leader destroys the Postal Service you can always get a job in a coal mine or become a farmer and enjoy your part of the 12 billion bailout.
Before Trump everyone, including Union’s, were in agreement they were ripping the Post Office and causing massive morale issues. Now Trump is president, all of the sudden, Amazon is the good guy?
Amazon has been rapping the Post Office since the beginning though lobbying efforts and substandard rates. Trump is 100% correct and we were all of the same mind before Trump. Stop letting your BS political agenda cloud your common sense. Bottom line is everyone needs to pay for the service. Amazon is not in it to bail out the Post Office, they are in it to get the best possible deal to make as much of a profit as possible at our expense. They need to be put in check and their monopoly broken.

How can the Post Office make a profit when you deliver Amazon junk from China on sundays and almost all holidays. These buildings and the vehicles were not in use and staffing was off. The costs far exceed any return from the crooks at your friendly local Amazon.
I just read President Donald Putin Idea that he wants union labor reform in the Postal Service. The great grand wizard thinks the “new” Postal Service should end the expensive government pay and benefits. The new Postal Service will expect it’s employees to work for free, well almost. They wont need health care, retirement, or pay! The Postal employees that voted for MR. Wizard, I believe, feel it’s their duty to work for nothing. Under the privatized Postal Service the servants will be paid as much as Mc Donald’. So go ahead and show you want to be used and abused.
Trump doesn’t have the brains to lick a stamp much less stick his nose in postal or Amazon business. He’s a hater of all hard working people, and so sadly there are tons of idiots who just love him because they are incapable of understanding what he’s doing or they’re too selfish and arrogant to ever admit they are wrong about anything, no matter the damage they help him and the Republicans do to this country. We can’t reason with the most extreme supporters of Trump and it’s folly to try. The only way we can get around them is to outvote them.
Tyrants like Mitch McConnell are hiring right wing anti-labor and anti-union judges to as many federal positions he can. This helps to allow the GOP to continue gerrymandering with impudence and stop efforts to pass one voter, one vote laws that would make the hideous cheating machine aka the Electoral College obsolete. Republicans on the national level know they can’t honestly win a presidential election. It has to be stolen through the E.C. or in the case of Florida in 2000, through the state Supreme Right Wing Court.
Regular Republican voters don’t seem to understand that supporting their values means they must get rid of those who break the laws and undermine the best interests of Americans. It is perfectly okay, patriotic and sensible if your elected Republican lawmaker is a crook, or just a bad corrupt person is booted out and replaced with a different GOP who may be a bit more respectable. The main message would be that the Republicans can’t expect 100% adoration and support just because they call themselves Republicans. And voters should not feel compelled to vote Republican just because of the name.
But so many do. It’s really stupid to believe all the lawmakers of one party are saints and great wonderful people, and the other side is the one full of criminals. We all ought to know better than that. But it happens all the time. Demand much more from your elected officials. Never, regardless of party affiliation, give them a free pass. And don’t believe the spin machines. Think for yourself instead of letting FOX News, Limbaugh, and other pathetic shills do it for you. They’re liars, enablers, and are nothing but damaging and destructive mouthpieces for the GOP.

If Donald Putin hates forcing the tax payer to bailout an organization, why must the tax payer of the Fairfax, Va. school district pay 24 million for school security? Shouldn’t the gun huggers pay the 24 million cost? Why should tax payers bailout gun owners? Since Congress won’t solve problems don’t make tax payers pay for their lack of doing their job!
