9/2/18 JACKSON, MS (WLBT) -Some Jackson residents are demanding the city fix their street after a mail truck got stuck in a sinkhole.
Caprice Westfield was walking through her living room when she saw a postal worker turn onto her street, Myrtle Wood Drive. She then heard a loud bang.
“As she went to turn, and if you notice, she went right here,” she said, as she recreated what happened. “And when she went right here and then it went like that.”
The woman got out safely and the mail truck was eventually pulled out and towed, but Westfield said it’s another reminder of how dangerous the problem has become.
