  1. For individuals on a budget a home gym set-up is the perfect answer.

Not merely do you save a lot of money but additionally you get to spend more quality time with your relations.

Nonetheless, it’s crucial to own all the most appropriate exercise equipment for your home gym otherwise your are not likely to see superb results.

  2. First of all it is a fact that there is no temperature reading on the DOIS report so heat or cold is not factored into a carriers day. But the simple truth is that these morons who are in charge don’t care about a carriers safety. They only care about their percent to standard numbers. It amazes me here in the Boston area that the Postal Service this year alone has curtailed delivery three times. Once for a hurricane. Once for a blizzard. And once for a kid with a gun and a bomb running free through the streets of Watertown. That they ignore probably the most dangerous condition, heat, baffles me. The effects of heat and humidity and strenuous activity can be dire. We recently had a carrier succumb to these and unfortunately died. We are human beings. We only ask that the Postal Service start treating us as such.

  3. That’s a blanket statement, like saying all clerks are lazy and take long breaks. Neither is true about all mrod!

  4. Lol people up north have no clue about heat. Come to the south like Nevada and Texas with no a/c in the llv or ffv. But we have heaters more the winter!?!?

  5. Sorry Think About it; those who go into mgmt. from craft do so because they couldn’t hack the work in the craft job.
99.9% were backstabbers and the laziest(prime requirement for any postal mgmt)craft workers while in their craft.

They have nothing in common with us. Thank God.

  6. why do they even make it possible to leave comments in any news article get a life people.

  7. Q: Where does entry level management come from? A: Craft. The imaginary disconnect always cracks me up. We promote from within, not form another planet, so when you talk about management you are talking about yourself or the person next to you……

  8. Mgmt. is still up to their usual harassment, pushing, etc., heat be damned. No one is really surprised though.

Don’t let these corrupt, unethical sleaze dictate to you how to handle the heat.

  9. Article 14 of the JCAM is quite clear in its language concerning the health and safety of the letter carriers. Management at no time shall order a carrier to perform duties that are a detriment to his or her health or safety, nor may they order a carrier to perform duties that violate work restrictions as prescribed by their personal physician, not the Postal approved quack.
There can be arguments about health or safety, but in the intense heat and humidity of summertime, no manager will have a leg to stand on if they try to discipline people for taking heat breaks. That is, and this is the catch, YOU LET THEM DO IT. Never allow a puss supervisor who wouldn’t be caught out on the street in less than postcard perfect weather bully you. You will have no trouble with the argument that you need heat relief. Dayton ought to be a large enough branch to be able to represent anybody being forced to work too hard in extreme conditions, and if they aren’t, those officers need replaced.
Your body is the only one you’ve got and a lot can and will wear out because of the nature of our work, but you don’t have to let management hasten your physical problems. Stand up for yourself, because nobody else will do it for you.

  10. This a way to keep carriers safe, NDCBU’s, no more door to door. The Public, another reason to use digital media. be careful of what you ask for. You could be hastening you own demise.

  11. How many carriers do you think fell out at that Post Office on Tuesday? The media really did a great job of keeping that carrier a secret!

  12. My postmaster asked me why I went OT on my route four days in a row this week. Probably the most moronic question I have ever been asked in my life!

  13. In the past, it’s been understood and encouraged that carriers seek air conditioning as needed throughout the day in order to ensure their safety. Suddenly, all safety talks about the heat say, “seek shade on authorized breaks and lunch”. In other words, keep moving as safety clearly is NOT top priority. They also say, “call supervisor if you are exhibiting symptoms of heat exhaustion, etc. I guess carriers are only allowed to need relief from heat when on break. Absolutely disgusting the way the bean counters are trying to intimidate more people into risking their well being rather than making the most important delivery of the day-themselves in healthy condition.

    Shame on USPS management!!!!

  14. Take your time dummy!!! Don’t let management intimidate you! otherwise, strap up and enjoy the free ride in the ambulance. Oh wait, I’m sure they wil swipe you off the clock, so your on the hook for the bill!!!
