12/11/2019  MILWAUKEE — A mailman is in serious condition after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver.

The incident happened about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday at South 13th Street and West Euclid Avenue in Milwaukee.

A surveillance camera at a nearby business captured the collision on video.

It shows the driver hitting the mailman as the mailman crossed the street.

Mail then goes flying into the air.

Neighbors told WISN 12 News the mailman was filling in on the route.

After hitting the victim, the driver stopped and then jogged back to check on him before returning to his car and fleeing the scene.
