Florida state attorney requesting postal facilities audit after video shows ballots in bins at SW Miami-Dade branch

A Florida letter carrier said that the mail has been piling up within the facility for over a week.

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) – Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle has ordered an audit of all of the county’s postal distribution centers after cellphone video recorded at a post office in Southwest Miami-Dade showed dozens of mail-in ballots in bins and on the floor, prompting calls for action from both Democratic and Republican officials.

In a statement issued Friday night, Fernandez Rundle responded to the video that was taken inside the U.S. Post Office branch in the Princeton area, along the 13000 block of Southwest 250th Street.

It reads in part, “With time running out and essential local, state and federal election issues to be decided, news of a possible postal delay in Miami-Dade County is troubling.”

STATE ATTORNEY FERNANDEZ RUNDLE’S STATEMENT ON MASSIVE SOUTH MIAMI-DADE POSTAL DELAY

Miami – October 30, 2020 With time running out and essential local, state and federal election issues to be decided, news of a possible postal delay in Miami-Dade County is troubling.

We are working with the Miami-Dade Department of Elections and the United States Postal Inspector’s Office to make sure that all ballots are accounted for and all votes are counted. Ihave offered the full resources of the State Attorney’s Elections Task Force to Elections Supervisor Cristina White and South Florida’s Special Agent in Charge of the United States Postal Inspector’s Office Antonio Gomez.

I have requested that all postal distribution centers be audited and any and all ballots that may remain in these centers be immediately transported to the Department of Elections. I further understand that administrative action was taken by the Office of the InspectorGeneral regarding the employee’s negligence at the Princeton distribution center. I encourage all of voters to check with the Department of Elections at 305-499-VOTE (8683) or at https://www.miamidade.gov/global/service.page?Mduid_service=ser151187731708822 to ensure that their ballots were received by elections.

If you have questions or concerns about the voting process, please contact my Elections Hotline at (305) 547-3300. The Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office is closely monitoring our Voter Protection Hotline. Anyone who suspects improper or irregular activities at early voting sites is urged to call the Hotline at 305-547-3300.

The State Attorney’s Office stands ready to act on every citizen’s behalf to preserve the integrity of our elections and every vote cast.

  1. who is the toolbag in charge of this post office and why are they not
    being held accountable?

  2. Delay the mail for two reasons, one disrupt voting by mail as Das Fuhrer wants, two ruin the service standards of the Postal service. Management personnel will never be prosecuted for violating U.S. title Code section 1703 delaying the mail will cost a fine and not more than five years in prison. Only bargaining unit employees will be prosecuted for breaking any Federal law. The Das Fuhrer supporters don’t believe in democracy, they believe in dictatorship. If mail in ballots are delayed that is what the Das Fuhrer supporters desire. They want to win at any cost1

    • Where were your heroes when they eliminated overnight mail within the SCF?

Dictatorship? Like forcing Obamacare down everyone’s throat?

Opening the borders to more desperate people seeking free stuff?

We conservatives just want to left alone.

      You just want free crap.
