Former Deputy PMG and NALC official joins Biden USPS transition team

Ronald Stroman, a former deputy postmaster general for the United States Postal Service, has been named the head of President-elect Joe Biden’s four-member transition team for the U.S. Postal Service.

His appointment was announced Nov. 10 by Biden’s transition office.

Earlier this year, Stroman suddenly resigned from his postal position as the Postal Service’s board of governors moved toward selecting Louis DeJoy, a North Carolina logistics executive, to be postmaster general. source

  1. After serving as Deputy PMG he at least has knowledge of what the challenges are. Maybe he can explain why there is no African American female Vice President. He can’t say they are not qualified. I spent 31 1/2 years at USPS and know first hand that many of recent selections are there because of African American women doing the work. I laughed when I saw the name of one officer. How do you become an officer after allowing a mailer’s sight to ship for over a year without paying postage? It will be interesting to see what value, if any, the former Deputy PMG brings to the transition team.
