I don’t know about other parts of the country but management in San Francisco management is forcing carriers to deliver all mail on Mondays. ( This includes those adds that you hate to receive and all other 3rd class mail)
Forcing carriers to deliver all of this on Mondays causes carriers to use overtime.
Mail volume is signifcantly lower on Tuesdays and if the 3rd class mail is held over one day the overtime would drop. Unfortunately Postal management is not shooting itself in the leg. It’s trying to amputate a foot.
Not if you keep this same management, they refuse to let the crafts do the job, they think they know better and they don’t, every piece every day no exceptions, this costs a ton of overtime, how the hell can you tell me you are losing millions every day and still pay overtime just because some jackass in management says so
