A U.S. Postal Service mail truck was briefly stolen Saturday morning on Ridgeway Avenue after the truck’s driver said he was held up at gunpoint.
Rochester Police officers responded to Ridgeway Avenue near the intersection of Lily Street at 11:45 a.m., where the 59-year-old USPS driver told them that his truck had been stolen. The driver said that a vehicle had suddenly pulled in front of his truck, blocking the road, and that a passenger got out of the vehicle and drew a gun, demanding that he exit the truck, according to a report from the Rochester Police Department.
The mail truck was then stolen and located a couple of blocks away, unoccupied.
