Last week Issa was not in a good mood for hearings. Do we really want the current Congress to make any decisions as it pertains to the USPS? Watch the exchange and ask yourself….

Wimpy Darrell Issa can’t stand the heat, so he gets out of the kitchen

World-class charlatan and House Government Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa literally shuts off the mic and walks out of the room when Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings, the committee’s top Democrat, criticizes the GOP’s bogus IRS investigation:

Cummings: I would like to use my time to make some brief points. For the past year, the central Republican accusation… [Issa cuts off mic]

Issa: We’re done. Close it down.source: DailyKos

And what set Issa off? This line from Cummings, apparently:

  1. I see by some of the comments some people believe the 2nd Ammendment is only ment to serve certain people. Elijah Cummings has a right to speak at these hearings. Maybe Issa turned the mic off so you would learn the truth. Your tax dollars do not support the post office only when you buy stamps or services. Issa has a boat load of private investors waiting and lurking to privatize the postal service. Then you will feel the rath. You will not be able to mail a 1st class letter for $.49. Because the object will be to make more money for the investors who don’t care if your mail gets delivered nor will they care who stole your freaking credit card. Why can’t Issa tell the postal service where is the billions of dollars already missing from the postal service prefunding retirement 75 years in advance. That means retirement already sitting and waiting for employees not even born. Where’s the damn money?

  2. It’s only the right wing idiots in North San Diego County, who have low standards for their representatives and keep re-electing this punk ass thug, only way to get rid of him is to re-draw his district.

  3. I would really like to know what the people of California see in this guy Issa

He is def. a Loser with a long history of Trouble when he was younger get rid of him.

  4. @Bkizzle

Tell it like it is…steamline the Postal Service, stop wasting vital resources to deliver advertising and polluting the environment….Make it cost effective, go to evaluated routes eliminate unnecessary supervision and all the conflicts with management……By going to 5 day delivery the American public can get the quality service they pay for by having the same carrier service them every day. If the carriers not doing his job it will come to light by the complaints that have no where to rest but with the regular carrier. Place the responsibility for the job where it belongs.

  5. Issa…Issa ….Issa !! You guys sound like a bunch of cry babies! What has he done? Just talk. !We are still under staffed, working harder than ever…. And for the love of GoD, still working on Saturday!!! Why? I’ll never understand. ! There is no volume people! Just parcels!!! So relax! Ai nt nothing going to change. 5 day delivery or bust! ..

  6. I agree 100% with Scott! The politicians could care less about ordinary working people. They are there to pad their pockets. Greed and power is all they crave. But ISSA is in a league of his own. He is a lying, thieving Satanist who blatantly hates the average Joe and is not afraid to show it. He already has over 500 million and yet he is still trying to kill the Postal Service for his filthy rich backers. Godspeed to HELL Danny Boy! They’ve got your eternal home just waiting for ya!

  7. @ Scott

I agree w/ you that current DC politics is sickening and maddening. We are at the mercy of idiots voted in by folks that make their selections based on 60 second sound bites and gross distortions that pander to their fears and emotions. The saying is you get the govt you deserve. If the majority of voters can’t be bothered to check these guys out and see beyond the nonsense, then you wind up with assholes like Issa. For him, it’s not about money, it’s all ego and power.

One thing I disagree with you is on term limits. If you get a really good elected representative in office that truly serves the best interests of his constituents, year after year, why would you blindly want to bar that person from continuing to serve. I have seen some local mayors that are outstanding and get voted in (deservedly) year after year. You always have the means to throw them out at the ballot box if they start turning bad. Term limits is just blindly throwing the baby out with the bath because of overall disgust with the majority of politicians, many of whom are pond scum. Got to leave some room for the good guys.

  8. As I recall the P.O. made the first two payments of $5.5 billion each. That means 8 payments to go. That would be $44 billion. So Issa can’t count! No wonder the National debt is out of control!

  9. The point is that idiot Cummings didn’t have anything of substance to say and Issa knew it, Cummings just wanted to beat his gums as usual without saying anything or doing anything….what a waste of space…..

  10. Issa apparently thinks he’s God or something. This is truly a megalomaniac at work here. Unless you’re a filthy rich person like him, you are on his radar to cut, fire, de-unionize, remove entitlements or anything that helps the working class. But the big irony is if this asshole ran for president, over 40 million people would vote for him, regardless of how big a threat he is to the existence of the middle class. It isn’t fair for people smart enough not to want this guy in a position of power to have to suffer under him because idiots vote for him.
That’s the price of stupidity for you. We lose our objectivity and worship one party over the other, never holding our own people accountable, either. Washington figured out a long time ago that they are impervious to the voter. Only news freaks and policy wonks even give Capitol Hill the time of day, so these so called firestorms of criticism and other “scandals” barely if ever register with the person busy just trying to survive and raise his kids. We just don’t give a shit about all the D.C. games anymore.
I hate all of ’em. ALL of them. Good bills get killed because some SOB attaches some totally unrelated piece of shit to them. We can’t get anybody to use line item vetoes. And term limits? There has been some success, but we must get a lot more active politically at home with petition drives and real organization to make that an across the board reality, and don’t think for a minute your trusty Representative or Senator who isn’t subject to term limits will do all he or she can to kill your efforts through PAC’s or any dirty trick they can get their hands on.
    Politics make me sick.

  11. the good news is that asshole darrell issa’s reign as chairman of the house government oversight committee is soon over. issa won’t be allowed to continue in this role. whomever takes his spot will probably be
a little more civil and hopefully more interested in getting something done than darrell ‘the weasel’ issa. some interesting facts about darrell issa i hope you share with everyone you know:

Issa is a high school dropout.

    Isaa has been arrested.

Issa pled out on a charge involving a
    firearm.

Issa weaseled out of his military duty and
left early through a hardship discharge.

Issa is still surrounded by clouds of
    suspicion involving arson and insurance
fraud related to a business that issa
was involved with that burnt up.

  12. Issa, what an embarrassing human being.
His classless, thuggish behavior is only outdone
by his cluelessness. It’s impossible for someone
in the 1% to relate to ordinary people, workers.
He is the epitome of slime.
