CENTRAL, LA (WAFB) –An alert postal worker in Central is credited for saving a home that was on fire Tuesday.
The Central Fire Department was called to the house in the 6300 block of Lindsey Neal at 1:44 p.m. The fire was under control within 20 minutes.
The alert postal worker called 911 to report smoke coming from the home. “Had she not done so, in just a few more minutes, the fire would have been through the roof and the home would have been a total loss,” said Derek Glover, Central Fire Department.
