06/23/2014 – The Postal Service’s propaganda machine has been working overtime in recent months, with workers forced to watch videos featuring Postmaster General Patrick R. Donahoe spewing falsehoods about “the state of the business” and the deal with Staples.

But while management can require employees to view his message while they’re on the clock, the union can’t. So make sure your co-workers hear the truth! Please show the video in swing rooms, cafeterias, at union events, and wherever postal employees get together.
All of the unions together should write to congress requesting that the prefunding be recalculated to the postal services current staffing instead of using the number of employees present at the time that the postal service was at an all time high in mail volume and staffing. In the past 5 years the postal service has done a early out incentive for different crafts resulting in a large number of employees taking the early out, while the postal service has not highered any new career employees until the recent converting of PSEs and MHAs this past year. If they were to recalculate the next 70 yrs of future health benefits estimated using the current staffing we would already be at the point of full coverage for the next 75 yrs. Not to mention that if Congress wanted to argue that the Postal Service still owes for the pre-funding after recalculating then they can just take the money that they have already admitted was overpaid to the retirement funds and use that money to balance the rest out and then the Postal Service would be back to a profitting service to the American people without one cent of goverment/tax payers help.

The Putz Master General and his spin doctors are nothing more than charlatan’s. The Putz thinks he’s a big pimp. He send’s everyone out to do the work only to collect the money. He is really the pinp for Congress. A true sellout in every sense. Congress needs to appoint a postal csar and fire everyone in management from the top down. The Post Office needs “LEADERS” not followers.

Privatization to me means work done by workers that is not part of the postal system. If there is no postal employees manning those counters but Staple employees then that is trying to make the P.O. private. You can’t have mail being delivered by more than one business because of mass confusion and no accountability. Donahue is a Decepticon in disguise, I refuse to believe the hype.
Mr. Donahoe is a disgrace to the postal service and the public. There plenty of ideas to make the service a valuble servant to the american public but as this country is heading down the toilet for big business interest and low wages he is just another pawn in the game
How many times has postal management tried to contract out work and lost in court or through arbitration? How many millions has management spent that could have been used for early retirement? Who is Donahoe working for, it certainly is not for the good of the postal service.
This business of Donohoe’s mandatory viewing is a problem I’ve had since the first time I was forced to watch the lying SOB. Not only is he the most corrupted and inept, he is also an egomaniac, who views himself as a star and big man in business. No PMG in the past has had as much face time and media coverage as he has, and he has been a lying jerk from day one.
Donohoe pays himself more than we pay the President, which is horrible, because we are not a private entity. I personally feel that no Federal employee should have pay exceeding the President’s, regardless of who is in office. Plus, Donohoe has given himself ridiculous raises and bonuses for driving the USPS into the ground.
Well, Mr. Donohoe, you might think you’re a big ass celebrity, but even though I’m ordered to stop my work, which is more important as a letter carrier than anything you do for a tenth of the pay if that, and watch you lie with your slick productions, you can’t make me listen to you or believe you. Which I do not. Your exit is long overdue and it’s time you took it.
