The Wanted Poster: It’s Okay to Post
08/14/2014 – Postal management may not prohibit or otherwise interfere with the display of the APWU’s Wanted poster on union bulletin boards, APWU attorneys report. The poster features a picture of Postmaster General Patrick R. Donahoe and accuses him of “crimes against the public Postal Service.” Displaying the poster is considered “protected union activity” under federal law.
Furthermore, the attorneys report, the National Labor Relations Act prohibits management from allowing or prohibiting the posting of material based on the views expressed.
Therefore, in addition to union bulletin boards, the USPS must allow employees to display the Wanted poster in non-work areas where management has permitted the presentation of other flyers or posters.
If management attempts to prohibit employees from posting the Wanted poster or instructs workers to remove it, please contact Rich Shelley at rshelley@apwu.org for guidance.

And you want to be respected. Very Childish
Enufisenuf-I don’t know what you are talking about with the APWU supposedly representing private contract drivers, most,if not all of the trucking companies the Postal Service contracts with are non-union and the APWU represents four crafts in the Postal Service. And it was Donablow’s stooge Guffey and his sellout lackeys on the executive board who pushed the garbage CBA through fear mongering and lies to the stupid, uninformed members who voted for it.Now Dimondstein has a tough job cleaning up the mess they created and fighting to get back in the next CBA all that was given away.
Really? This is what the new officers are focusing on? How much money was spent on producing this junk? So much for increasing the membership. What a mockery…
MVS Man:
So…your point is what? I agree with you about the PMG, but lets not forget your buddy Diamonstein who singlehandedly sold your MVS craft down the river with his private sector unionization of HCR contract drivers into the APWU. Maybe you’re a rookie and haven’t been around long enuf, but you really should look into that and ask yourself whether a conflict of interest existed when the APWU began protecting the interests of contract drivers over those of the MVS craft. Maybe you enjoy the picketing of Staples and the posting of stupid posters on union boards however, what additional benefits and jobs have been created? Yeah…high fives all around cause everybody had a good laugh about all the smoke and mirror BS from APWU but…what was accomplished? Does your Craft have additional runs because of this? I doubt it cause HCR would have grieved to take your work away from you and APWU would have supported those grievances. Did you go to the convention? You must’ve had a good time with all the pins that were traded and demands for the PMG to step down. I’m sure the hospitality room was packed and everyone felt good afterwards. So…onward with more posters, commercials and pickets. The shock and awe is coming with impending lay-offs. I can hardly wait to hear Diamonstein call the PMG a scumbag! That should stop USPS. Go back to bed MVS man…you’re being lulled to sleep!
What little respect I had for the unions is going away fast…
enufisenuf-The unions don’t need to make the most incompetent, self absorbed and devious PMG the Postal Service has ever had look bad,he does it himself quite well! and you are a Donablow suck up!
Joe: I can’t stand OBama that does not mean I intent to harm him, get real. If the poster had a target on it: which I seen the left use then I would agree but it does not. The problem is not a poster the problem is The USPS systematically dismantling the postal network and destroying the post office for future generations.
Really? a wanted poster?? and the unions continue to look like complete idiots because of things like this
I am so excited that this will bring us more good paying jobs and increased salaries! This is the unfortunate part of unionism today especially from the APWU…make em look bad cause you really don’t have any answers for their moves and you don’t want to tell that to your lemmings…so, what have you done for me lately? We posted wanted posters and made the PMG look bad. Oh…ok. Go ahead and increase my dues then.
where can I get 25 or 50 of these??
ROFL !
Love it !
Whether or not a posting meets the “suitablity” standard is usually debatable. However, assuming that the Poster is suitable for posting, the Union may be detracting from its message with its method of presentation.
Wanted Posters for Pres Kennedy were posted around Dallas before he was assassinated, and now some nut jobs are posting Wanted posters of Pres Obama.
The folks posting the Kennedy and Obama posters came off looking like right wing nut jobs. Their message was overwhelmed by their method of presentation. The Union may come off looking like left wing nut jobs with their similar postings.
Wouldn’t it be more effective for the Union to post well reasoned arugments explaining its good faith opposition to the PMG’s policies? Just a thought.
YEA! HEY! HO!
ok – this is what we’re concentrating on now? ((shakes head))
