APWU: Make it a Matter of Record Tell the PRC About Delayed Mail

apwulogo213Businesses, customers and APWU members who have complaints about delayed mail should be sure to let the Postal Regulatory Commission know, says Debby Szeredy, the union’s executive vice president.“Much of the delayed mail is in areas where plants and post offices have been consolidated or closed or where hours at post offices have been reduced,” she said.

“Filing complaints with the PRC will help document how egregious the problem is, so encourage your family, friends and neighbors to file complaints if they experience delays, too,” Szeredy said.Filing a complaint online takes just a minute or two. To complete the form, start by selecting “Complaint.” Next, in the subject area, click the arrow and select “Mail Delivery/Postal Services.” Describe your complaint in the message box using 1,000 or fewer characters (letters) and include that you are requesting an investigation of your delayed mail.

If you are in an area where a plant or post office was consolidated, closed or faced reduced hours, be sure to include that in your complaint as well.Provide your name and address so that you can be contacted about the results.Print a copy of your complaint for your records by right-clicking on the mouse, then Click “Submit.” If you have a problem with your submission you may need to reduce the number of words in your complaint.

If you prefer, you also can send a letter to the PRC at the following address:

Public Affairs & Government Relations
901 New York Avenue NW, Suite 200
Washington, DC 20268-0001

Once the PRC receives your complaint, it will be placed into the agency’s quarterly log and sent to the USPS. The Postal Service will respond to the PRC & the customer.

  1. Archie. Me and Meathead aint too happy we are being flushed down the toilet. Why don t this PRC political appointees group of 5 do something to help the USPS reduce the millions they are loosing and doing nothing to help stop it. I need 10 years or an early buyout with benefits.

  2. Ya know-
I think we should encourage those of us who actually are happy with our service and how our mail is delivered every day and in a timely manner to also send letters to the PRC letting them know we support the Postal Service and what they do.
Not everyone is a whining APWU/NALC member looking to tank any piece of legislation that comes down the pipe recomending they scale things back some. Ask all of the US auto companies how its done- Ask the UAW how and why.
Write that letter to the PRC letting know your happy with the USPS.

  3. Opinion’s are like asshole’s…. Everybody’s got one.

It’s like little league, it’s only as good as it’s members.

The good the bad the ugly, in all walks of life little Johnny.

Look at our government ? the latest poll? Sucks

How’s your new postal service sense the cut backs. Sucks

How’s working as this new postal tier employee (PSE) Sucks

    How’s morale? Sucks.

  4. I thought is was too LKUnion

    Instead of postal union suck…

Suck the postal union or choose any or all the other options available to you.

  5. PRC is a useless APPOINTED GROUP that lacks economic-business knowledge to operate in a business that has failed to reach its goal of operating at a breakeven point.
The demand for postal service has rapidly declined in the 21st century that is reflected in revenue degeneration and increasing debt loosing million quarterly. Who pays for the massive dollar loss? Cost effective operations are ignored or to ignorant to recognize. 6 day street delivery is a wasted cost as it is needless as consumer demand no longer exist. Electronic communication-instant messaging is the primary means as physical delivery to an address in a 2-3 day time frame is history. Politics and management
pressure groups as well as craft unions national officers
actions reflect no concern for working employees who deliver the final product whether junk ad mail or the increasing parcel volume. Parcel business is increasing as it is the only positive gain compared to SPLY on quarterly reports.

  6. Like they care. It’s all about she corporate mailers: they throw the best parties in wash dc

  7. Management could care less about late mail.
    They are unaccountable for it.
No one is ever punished, only promoted.
