10/29/2014 – In accordance with Article 8 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, penalty overtime rules are not applicable for a four-week period each year during December. This year, the period begins with Week 2 of Pay Period 26-14 (Dec. 6, 2014) and ends at the conclusion of Week 1 of Pay Period 02-15 (Jan. 2, 2015).
The 2014 leave year ends on Friday, Jan. 09, 2015. The 2015 leave year begins on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, and ends on Friday, Jan. 08, 2016. The maximum annual leave carryover for APWU-represented employees is 440 hours.

As referenced in Article 8, sections 4 and 5, of the USPS-NALC and USPS-APWU national agreements, the December period (during which penalty overtime regulations are not applicable) consists of four consecutive service weeks. This year, the December period begins Pay Period 26-14 — Week 2 (December 6, 2014) — and ends Pay Period 02-15 — Week 1 (January 2, 2015).
