January 22, 2015 – CARROLLTON, TX – Steve Weinstein is asking the United States Postal Service if it’s standard procedure to toss deliveries on doorsteps after an expensive package got unceremoniously dumped on his front porch.

Weinstein’s home surveillance camera caught a delivery person tossing a package several feet onto his porch Wednesday.

Weinstein frequently uses Amazon to purchase a variety of items. As a hobbyist, he builds drones, works on ham radios, and is a tech enthusiast. He does big business through the mail.

When an expensive piece of equipment didn’t show up, he went looking for it.

From his law office, Weinstein scrubbed through surveillance video on his iPhone, hoping the package had arrived while he was working. Read more

Is this how Amazon want’s a $4,000 piece of electronics delivered?

this video clearly shows the mail carrier getting about 7 feet from my door and then throwing my package from Amazon. This package contained a $4,000 piece of electronics.

  1. This video is from a lawyer. I watched it. First he said in was an Amazon package then he said it was from China. If it was a 4000 dollar item, why wasn’t it insured? I for one wouldn’t hire this guy as my lawyer if he is too stupid not to get insurance on a 4 thousand item.

  2. carriers are not given enough time. Management is constantly not approving time to carry routes. So which would you rather do. Toss a few packages to make up time , or be harassed when you can’t get back to the office and treated with letters of warning for taking too long to do your route?

  3. No it’s not “normal” to throw a package during delivery! Each carrier has been alotted time to walk to each mail box on his or her route. It looks to be a non-career person in the picture. The person should have called and complained to the 1-800 number. In my office they take those complaints very seriously. But like they say “You get what you pay for”…..I hope someone in upper Postal Mgt. reads this because it’s happening all over!!

  4. To answer the question, “yes, it is standard procedure”. You should see how much it got tossed around before delivery. And this happens regardless of which shipper you use. What world do you live in, mr Weinstein?
