August 8, 2015 WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — One man is in the hospital after being run over by a box truck Saturday.
Police say they were called to the U.S. Postal facility at 24 Research Parkway in Wallingford around 5 p.m. for a report of a person who had been run over by a truck.
When officers arrived they found postal employee Glenn Ford, 52, of Wallingford lying on the pavement alongside the truck.
According to police, Joseph Gallo, 46, of West Haven was backing a 2007 International 4000 series box truck up to one of the loading docks at the facility. As he was doing this, the truck struck Ford, who was walking in the parking lot. Ford fell to the pavement and was run over across his midsection by the back tires of the truck.
