Dem report: USPS changes delay prescription drugs

WASHINGTON (AP) — Delivery of mail-order prescription drugs was delayed significantly this summer after the new postmaster general ordered major changes in U.S. Postal Service operations. That’s what a report by Senate Democrats finds. The report contradicts public claims by Louis DeJoy that the recent moves he imposed “should not have impacted anybody.″ The report found that prescription drug orders filled by mail increased by one-fifth during the coronavirus pandemic, and deliveries for medications that previously took two days or three days now take closer to three days or four days. The report was based on information from five of the largest pharmacies and pharmacy benefit managers in the country that provide mail order service.

  1. Volume increase of 20% and you are complaining about 1 extra day. Do they have any idea what we’ve went through the last few months? Parcel volumes at near peak levels and then add 20 % to that. P&DCs on the East Coast that were limping along because of sick personnel causing the mid west to have run there mail and truck it back. I think the service has done a fantastic job only adding 1 day to delivery times. I never heard a word out of you Congressional clowns until you wanted to politicize this. We worked every day making sure this was done while you hide in your gated communities. You should be damn glad that you have us.

  2. The veterans that voted for Das Fat Dildo Fuhrer should enjoy the fact their pal is delaying their medicines from the VA. And in addition the Postal Services delay of mail on purposely intended reasons is going to endanger your job if you work for the Postal Service. Though the citizens that intend to vote for the fat one don’t even think. They just love his message of hate and division. They don’t care even if he admits of lying and cheating. It doesn’t matter to the veterans he is a draft dodger or mocks servicemen killed in the service of their country.

  3. It is past criminal what the “great ” leader and his stooges are doing to the Postal service. Cutting service, doing what they can to make Americans distrust the Federal agency trusted by the citizens just so our clown in chief can destroy the Postal Service. And make voting by mail difficult. Why not prosecute the officials for violating 18 title code section 1703. the act says “those that delay mail unlawfully will be fined and serve not more than five years in prison”. You had better believe if a low life Postal employee delayed mail they would be gone after! How could the stooge pals of our leader delay the citizens medicine?
