This is an attempt by unions to use veterans as a human shield when APWU have fail to protect the rights and benefits of the custodail occupational group by reducing back compensation for the Das Award (2001 MS47) and most recently converting PSE custodial to fulltime without considering hiring veterans (preference eligibles) per VEOA.

Sure, a private business wouldn’t run this way. I am glad we prefund my future medical benefits, only business that does. I am proud my company saves for the future rather than depend on future tax payer money to bail us out.
More Democratic bull%$#&, As a veteran and postal employee for over 25 years, instead of hiring veterans coming out of the war, they filled maintenance jobs slotted for veterans with other craft employees that destroyed the once veteran dominated maintenance craft. Go sell this cock and bull to the liberals, what have democrats done for the Postal Service, nothing, they line up to make a speech on how they are trying to save the postal service from the inevitable, and how the rotten republicans will dismantle the PO, name one thing that this administration has done to improve the postal service? The Democrats have done nothing, especially President Obama. He got the NALC endorsement and has done nothing but promote five day delivery, refuses to deal with Donahoe and is a terrible excuse for a Democratic or any kind of president, just like your idiot-in-chief George W. Bush was.

I’ve been a carrier 30 years and understand the problems are huge with no end in sight because, as in the case of illegal immigration, neither side wants to do anything about it. The GOP and business get cheap labor and workers don’t get benefits or adequate pay, thinking what they get now is much better than in their home country, which is true. Democrats want votes, knowing minorities always vote for them. The Republicans are in deep shit when the day comes that Latinos are the majority, not the minority.
