Arco the Dems. do nothing for the middle class..Where did you get your info from the Whits House…Sounds like MSNBC too…An example Obama has all of us paying more so the poor can get more for free….25 million on food stamps, who pays for that..US…..The list can go on and on…Distribution of wealth is not the right way…Anybody who says one side rigged it for them should be locked away in white coat…Both sides do it…And really on the Ed Show..This guy is terrible..He gets money from the uniions to promote thier agenda out to his liberals who watch is pathetic show…But when in doubt blame Republicans, even thou is the Dems. running the show for the past 5 years….5 day here we come..PATHETIC

I agree w/ just about all your analysis of the current situation. FDR and the New Deal finally legalized collective bargaining under the Wagner Act. This lead to the eventual growth of unions in political strength and numbers. Allowed millions to join the middle class, buy a house, put their kids thru college. Union membership at its peak was about 25%; today, it is less than 11% of all workers. Public service unions are still strong and thus the focus of attack by these Repubs. They want to wipe out the last vestiges of any true political clout on the opposing side. That’s was Issa and his ilk are all about. Dismantle the USPS piece by piece. Paul Ryan wants to evicerate fed employee benefits, a piece at a time. He is a disciple of Any Rand and economist Hayek. The basic message; I’m rich because I’m superior to you, and deserve to be. If you are poor, it’s because you are weak and lazy. I got mine, so fuck everyone else, because it’s survival of the fittest. That is the Republican platform in a nutshell. Of course, they will never mentioned how they have rigged the systems to benefit themselves.
What truly amazes and disgusts me are all the blue collar types that vote Republican and are convinced to vote against their own personal interests because the Carl Rove’s of the world get them all riled up on guns, gays, defense of marriage, abortion and flag waving. They are laughing at them, all the way to the bank.

They are all crooks! According to RollCall of the top 50 millionaires in Congress, Issa is number 1. Of the top 50, 21 are Democrats, 29 are Republicans. In the top 10 there are 7 Dems. My point is, Isaa is the #1 a-hole, but I think in reality we need to watch out for all of these guys. They have other interests than keeping the PO going right and what is best for the country. ObammaCare anyone?

I always find it confounding how supporters of Republicans are almost to a person totally unwilling or incapable of imagining their darling legislators doing anything remotely unethical. In their twisted world, thanks to the constant brainwashing of right wing media, it’s all liberals (anybody to the left of Hitler as far as they’re concerned) who do everything illegally or immorally.
I’m a Democrat, more of a moderate type who wants to bring back the days of FDR to strengthen unions, help people get good jobs, and real job security, not these right to work states that want to pay minimum wage for everything. I’m not in favor of lots of far left stuff, and I understand a strong banking and business sector is important, as FDR did. What he understood is that workers and industry must work together, with wages that allow the worker to invest in nicer goods and plan for retirement. That way, the industry and banks benefit because there’s more money being circulated and the standard of living can go up for all.
What is wrong with that? GOP asswipes want to wipe out workers’ abilities to do anything that is better than poverty wages, and millions of idiots who are in serious financial trouble keep supporting them because they can’t admit they’re wrong about anything, or think the whole world revolves around their damn guns and Christianity.
I think there’s a lot wrong with my party, too, and I refuse to live in a dream world and not hold my elected officials accountable, regardless of party. If Republicans could get it through their thick skulls that their own people are their worst enemy and do likewise we’d all be better off, but like a few I work with, even discussing issues just leads to screaming cliches from people who repeat Limbaugh and FOX News “talking points” without a clue what they’re saying. Just ask one to elaborate on his position sometime. I’ve done it, and all they do is get mad.
Issa will get his way because GOP voters are lemmings or rich bastards who think only of themselves. My niece has a boyfriend and he is a Republican Nugent/Duck Dynasty loving jerk but doesn’t want to marry because they have a boy and won’t get the entitlements they’re getting if they do marry. Is that hypocritical enough for you?

Come On! Issa’s a politician with multiple GTAs conveniently and mysteriously expunged from his record. He “stole” the security business that got him where he is today from his best friend! So don’t think anything that comes out of his mouth is in the best interest of the American people! He stands to make money on the Postal Services demise!
