Nashville marketing firm employees say they may have helped to steal over $100,000 from USPS

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Workers who accepted a job they found on Craigslist are concerned they may have become unwilling accomplices in a scheme to steal more than $100,000 from area post offices in a single day.

“Once we all figured out that we all bought roughly $100,000 worth of stamps we agreed that there was something fishy and we went to the police,” Jason Paulk said. Paulk says his bizarre and unintentional involvement in a federal fraud investigation started when he accepted a courier job with Marquis Marketing, after seeing the job post on Craigslist.

On Wednesday, Paulk reported to his first day at a Church Street office building with multiple tenants. He says a man who told him his name was Isaac Collins sent him on a strange assignment to buy ten thousand stamps with a company check.

The next day Paulk showed up to work again, only to discover at least seven others had also bought large quantities of stamps, and that their “boss” had vanished without a trace
