October 23, 2019 KINGSTREE, S.C. (WCIV) — More than a dozen family members of a United States Postal Service worker murdered in September attended an emotional hearing at Williamsburg County Bond Court on Wedesday.
A judge denied bond for the second suspect charged in Irene Pressley’s murder, and family members said Pressley and the suspect are actually related. They say Jerome Terrell Davis, 27, is Pressley’s cousin once removed.
“Everybody in this community, people who never met her, are hurt,” says Tameka Gibson, the victim’s daughter-in-law.
None hurt more than the 13 members of Pressley’s family, including sister Elisha Hubbard. “It’s a wonderful day. It’s still full of pain, but it’s a wonderful day.”
“(The suspects have) been to their house. According to what we hear, they were there the night after the funeral,” Gibson says. “It’s like the devil sitting among you.”
