FAYETTEVILLE — A Fayetteville postal worker is accused of stealing mail and taking money from the envelopes.
Officers say they found several letters and birthday cards in Jimmy Fant’s SUV during a Friday morning traffic stop. According to police, the envelopes were all addressed to different people.
Investigators say Fant admitted to taking the mail during his shift at the post office, and stealing $100 from them. He faces a misdemeanor charge of theft.
