Florida mail truck goes off-road, kicking up cloud of dust as it whizzes past traffic

11/3/18 MIAMI –Neither snow nor rain nor traffic can stop one South Florida mail carrier who appeared to drive erratically off the road, kicking up a cloud of dust while whizzing by traffic on the roadway.

Cellphone video shot by a passenger in one of the vehicles on the road showed the vehicle’s apparent off-road detour. It’s not clear exactly where the Nov. 1 incident took place; according to a street sign seen in the video, the driver is nearing an intersection with Eurkea Drive in the Miami area.

A USPS spokesperson said in a statement to ABC that the postal service is reviewing the video and said the employee’s “unacceptable behavior…does not reflect the efforts of the thousands of professional, dedicated carriers in our workforce.”

  1. Just another poor Letter Carrier under too much pressure from management to deliver more in less time with less staffing and in fear of being fired for taking too long. You are fired if you do, and fired if you don’t.

  2. Wonder if that was some poor CCA or RCA who just got reamed by his Supervisor for not being fast enough?

  3. He was trying to lose the stupidvisors following him doing street observations. Even with GPS management just loves to lurk behind bushes and catch employees. Then management can give a PDI.
