Four-year-old girl mails birthday cake to mother in heaven

5/2/18 EDGEWATER, Fla. (WESH) – A four-year-old Florida girl is celebrating her late mother’s birthday by sending a cake to heaven.

Jessica Graham, who would have turned 30 on Saturday, died two years ago from a sudden illness. Her daughter, Bella, whipped up a cake with her grandmother to celebrate.

“They mail hundreds of thousands of letters to Santa Claus every year, so heaven wasn’t that much further, right?” said Bella’s grandmother Laura Fisher.

So Bella, her grandmother, and some extended family baked a cake and addressed it to Jessica in heaven. Fisher reached out to the Edgewater Post Office, where workers opened a special line just for the special cake.

“They said this line was for people shipping to heaven only,” Fisher said. “They put a stamp on it, they guaranteed her that the cake would arrive before mommy’s birthday.”

Fisher told WESH-TV in Orlando the postal workers gave Bella the gift of time and attention and did a wonderful job letting her send her cake to her mother.

  1. There is no heaven anywhere near to the USPS. Hell maybe, but heaven no.

  2. That story is a real tear jerker. God bless that little girl, she is so precious. I thought what that post office did was really genuine. Their Postmaster must have a real heart, that’s a rarity.

  3. she should have used Fed Ex…..they would get it there! Postal Circus workers would just eat it. if they did not lose it!

  4. Hopefully it doesn’t get returned to sender by some naive postal worker who puts address not known on it.
