FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) – A Fresno mail carrier has been fired for throwing away mail. The United States Postal Service says the mailman admitted he threw away letters about “Obamacare.”
People who live at a Central Fresno apartment complex snapped pictures of the inside of the dumpster filled with mail about “Obamacare”. Witnesses say the mail was dumped in the garbage by their mailman.
“He just kept glancing over his shoulder over and over again. It was like he knew what he was doing was wrong,” said witness Jerry Dills.
Dills says he brought the mail that he found in the garbage to his local post office where he filed a formal complaint against the carrier.

Those were Medicare booklets. It’s deplorable how carriers are willing to lose their jobs over their political feelings especially when they’re interfering with customer’s mail. As a carrier it’s none of our damn business what our customers receive outside something truly illegal/dangerous, and it’s not our place to impose our beliefs or politics on our patrons. We have one loudmouth obnoxious Republican asshole who has been reprimanded for trying to shove his religion and politics up customers’ asses without them even asking. I think he should have been fired, especially since he’s also a scab. “Mrod”, this carrier isn’t doing a service to anybody just because you’re somebody who agrees with him. You GOP fiends are getting more intolerant and full of hate for anybody who doesn’t believe exactly the way you do with every passing day. You are your own worst enemies to your cause, so just keep shoving your view up everybody’s ass and turn off even more people. Maybe then the GOP will kill itself out of its own hate.

This is interesting. We had a CCA in our office got caught throwing away the same type of mail {bundles of flat-sized mail} in the latter part of August. He was allowed to “voluntarily resign” without any penalties. Last Saturday he started working at a different Post Office about 40 miles away. All I can say is that they have more dumpsters in their town than we do. Good luck!

Why is it alright to use tax dollars for school sports, but it is evil to use tax funds for health care? A child can have fun off the tax payer, while some people must plead for health care! Not only should he have been fired but prosecuted under USC 18. His actions were criminal and prosecutors prosecuted mail carriers several years back in Chicago, he deserves no less. When confronted his excuse was he didn’t have enough time to deliver the mails. What a lame excuse. How many carriers complain about how long their routes are but still do the job. There is absolutely no excuse for him to discard mail irrespective of its kind or subject. Prosecute the RATOS!!!

Ummm….I just watched the video from the news and they sure are not very good at reporting facts. First of all, the picture shows that the discarded mail was not “letters about obamacare”. It was in fact flat mail from Medicare. Two entirely different types of mail as well as two entirely different government healthcare programs. But hey, nice job reporting “journalists”!!!
