Georgia State Patrol is still investigating what caused the death of a postal employee on Highway 27 at Collard Valley Road on the Cedartown bypass earlier this afternoon.
Polk County deputy coroner Marty Robinson said that officials are still investigating how postal employee Gina W. Jackson, 52, of a Cedartown address, was killed today in a wreck involving a logging truck.
Her remains will be taken to the GBI crime lab for an autopsy, Robinson said.
Moved here from Roswell, couple of weeks ago.. I hate logging trucks…Those drivers, don’t go through enough training! This is so very sad!! I pray for the Jackson family, and friends.. That they find peace.. Jesus please wrap Your loving arms around this family.. Guide them! I lost a neighbors girls to a logging trucker years ago. Very Very sad!
Praying for the family, so sorry.
Sorry to hear about that. Someone remind the family that there is a clause in the ELM that states “if you are on duty and killed while wearing a seat belt your family will recieve $10,000.” again sorry for the loss.
