9/22/2017 ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A northeast Albuquerque man woke up to a strange sight in the middle of his neighborhood’s street Wednesday morning.
Jim Fawver walked outside to get the paper when he noticed a huge pile of mail on his street. Among the discarded mail: utility bills, catalogs and credit card offers. It appeared the mail was stolen because it had been opened and looked through before it was discarded.
Fawver contacted the postal inspector and collected the mail so it wouldn’t blow away and potentially fall into wrong hands again. He’s also posted pictures of the mail, along with some of the names and addresses, on nextdoor.com, hoping to reach the intended recipients.
