Hope for repairing Trump, DeJoy damage to post office as new USPS board members are seated

Rachel Maddow reviews the damaging impact of Louis DeJoy as postmaster general under Donald Trump and talks with Amber McReynolds, a newly confirmed, Biden-nominated member of the USPS board of governors about her hopes for the future of U.S. mail and improving service for Americans who rely on it.

Biden nominates former Deputy PMG, mail voting advocate and former APWU attorney to USPS Board of Governors

Biden nominated Anton Hajjar, former general counsel of the American Postal Workers Union; Amber McReynolds, CEO of the National Vote at Home Institute, a non-partisan non-profit dedicated to expanding vote-by-mail systems and former elections official in Denver; and Ron Stroman, a former deputy postmaster general.

  1. Rachel Maddie mentioned that the public should make their views about USPS to the Board of Governors but not how to contact them. I would like to provide input but don’t know where to go to do so.

  2. It is interesting to listen to the many statements of different parties concerning the
operations of USPS. I commend the positive actions of carriers who put the public
first. The politics away from the core business is where the problems exist. The public
is concerned with the business of living life, not anyone’s politics preventing their
ability to get normal things done timely.

  3. Dejoy has to go. He has no vested interest in a viable, robust ,postal service Another Trump hack ,placed to dismantle and eliminate the PO as we know it. Get rid of this arrogant bum.Typical Trump appointee, placed in an agency to destroy it. Be it Dept Of Labor ,the EPA,NLRB etc . Get rid of any TRump damage to our country, the worst president in our history ,he belongs in prison .
