The Postal Service cut the ribbon on its newest gopost self-service parcel lockers and kiosk center April 3 at New York City’s Grand Central Station Post Office, in the vicinity of more than 750,000 potential customers who pass by the nearby terminal daily.

“Gopost is designed for the lifestyles of commuters and frequent business travelers, so we know that gopost is a sure fit for New Yorkers and the guests who come through these halls each year,” said DPMG Ron Stroman. “GoPost is based on a simple premise: why wait for your packages when your packages can wait for you.”
The DPMG said there are plans to test more gopost units at locations near large Post Offices, shopping districts and busy transportation hubs like Grand Central Terminal. Two additional sites in New York — Williamsburg and Manhattanville — are pilot sites.

Hands-on demonstrations were conducted throughout the day for commuters, business travelers and tourists.

Northeast Area Vice President Richard Uluski noted that the latest gopost location was only fitting. “Grand Central revolutionized the experience of transportation by rail for commuters, for city residents and for tourists from around the world,” he said. “gopost will revolutionize the experience of the mail for our customers.”
