Letter Carrier ejected from vehicle in two-car crash1/9/2015 – Osceola woman ejected from mail truck in two-car crash on S.R. 120

Osceola, IN –  – Starla Minder, 55, was driving a Grumman LLV, the small box truck commonly used by the U.S Postal Service, west on S.R. 120 near C.R. 17 at 5:18 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, when she swerved off the road, according to a news release from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.

She drove through the yard of a home in the 22000 block of S.R. 120, then went back onto the roadway, across the center line and into the eastbound lane, where she hit a Toyota Camry head-on.

Minder was ejected from the vehicle. She was taken to Elkhart General Hospital with several cuts to her head and a fractured pelvis, according to the news release. It is unknown if Minder was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
