INDIANAPOLIS — Many viewers have reached out to CBS4, reporting a significant delay in their mail service.
For small businesses like Esmeralda Valague’s online consignment shop, Sweet Emerald on eBay, those delays have caused her to stop online sales temporarily.
“We have a bunch of packages starting with the week of Thanksgiving that haven’t left the – or appear to not have left the Indianapolis hub,” said Valague.
At Smith’s Coins in Lafayette, online sales manager Michelle Davis said they are experiencing similar issues. According to Davis, the significant delays didn’t begin until sometime around Dec. 1.
I have three packages that are sitting in the Indianapolis distribution center since 12/11!!! They were Christmas presents….guess they will be Valentines present at this rate!!!
I ordered an item on December 7th. It was arrived to Indiana on December 9th. It has been sitting at the Indianapolis distribution center since December 9th. That is a total of 13 days, so essentially, two weeks. This is RIDICULOUS. I wish I would have paid the extra on top of what USPS is charging, to have it sent through Fed Ex or UPS anyone BUT USPS. It is just so strange I have had other orders placed through USPS and have received them in a timely fashion, but for whatever reason THIS specific distribution center is having problems. Please fix it. Get new management, hire more people, etc… but this is not cutting it.
Correction, still in Indy this day of 12/21/20. No correction on the “USPS sham” part though.
Package of herbal medication from Ebay sent 12/9/20 with 4 day guaranteed delivery, still in Indianapolis distro center this day of 12/12/20. What a sham USPS is nowadays!
My package is also stuck in Indianapolis. I mailed a package priority mail from southern Missouri to Fort Knox, KY, at 9:15 AM on December 4. Today is December 20, and the tracking states that it is still in transit and will be late. Tracking shows that the package arrived the evening of December 8 in Indianapolis, and since then, no movement. I knew it would be slower this year getting packages delivered, but sixteen days and counting for priority mail is really slow. What is ironic, I mailed another priority package on December 7 to the same Fort Knox address, and it was received at 8:30 AM, December 15. Guess the first box is hung up somewhere in Indianapolis.
I am awaiting a live plant from ebay that was posted through postal service in Indianapolis on 12/7/20. I am so upset right now. I paid a pretty penny for this plant and if it ever gets to me here in New York alive I will be shocked. Today is the 15th of December so I am very doubtful. My hard earned money on this plant will be wasted as well.
My package is also stuck at the Indianapolis distribution center. Do Indiana residents no longer receive packages through USPS? I wish I would’ve known before I ordered Christmas presents.
