Texas Mail Carrier Shot In The Leg While Making Her Rounds
Update: LUFKIN (November 24, 2014) Police were trying to determine Monday who shot an East Texas postal worker in the leg as she delivered mail in a neighborhood.
Lufkin police say the 25-year-old worker was treated for an injury that wasn’t believed to be life threatening.
The woman was likely shot with some sort of air gun or rifle, police say.
No arrests have been made.
The shooting happened Saturday as the postal worker was walking her regular route in Lufkin.
The mail carrier heard a pop, felt a pain in her leg, fell to the ground and realized she was bleeding, police said.
She called a supervisor, who summoned police.

They say the Dallas U.S. Postal Service is investigating the incident. The victim says she cannot release any information about what happened, but her injuries are not life threatening.
