MANKATO– Ice and snow covered roads have made it a pain to get from point A to point B, but for postal workers it can be a real headache.
City Letter Carrier Ben Westphal is one of 57 United States Postal Service workers in Mankato.
Westphal takes on a number of different routes every day, which means he must bracing the cold and trek through heaps of snow.
“In order to stay warm it definitely helps to keep moving,” said Westphal. ” I specifically layer up with a base layer, and we have our normal work uniform, and our outer work uniform is kind of our office.”
