A State Police trooper said another driver rear-ended Denise Myers in her rural mail carrier vehicle on Route 220 south of Green Level Road around 3 p.m., near the Virginia Furniture Market.
Trooper A.J. Berry responded to the scene and said both cars had tipped over. Once extricated, both the woman and the man who hit her were taken to the hospital. He said it didn’t appear they had life-threatening injuries.
Denise’s husband, Jeff Myers, said she was released from the hospital, has multiple stitches, head injuries, and is “lucky to be alive.”
