CHARLOTTE, N.C. People in several local counties had the chance to take part in Channel 9s School Tools Drive Saturday, without even leaving their homes.
Thanks to Channel 9s partnership with the U.S. Postal Service, folks in the Charlotte area left school supplies at their mailboxes and their letter carriers picked them up as they delivered the mail.
It was an easy way to help out students who many not have the necessary supplies as they head back to school.
The supplies collected Saturday will benefit students in the county where they were donated.
